ABOUT ME
All of us are lying in the gutter but some among us are staring at the stars. Oscar Wilde was probably absolutely right. Travelling, discovering the wide wild world is probably the best way I know to stare at the stars, directly, with no half-ways. Being born on an Island -Spain's highest peak on it- has something of a challenge: to get all the way up to the top of Mount Teide, to discover that you are surronded by water on all four sides and to wish with all the fervour of your heart to go beyond the Ocean is just the same truth stated in three different ways for me.
PHILOSOPHY
Since Hegel's stated that our access to reality is nothing but mediate I couldn't possible pretend to put here in black and white (why the hell do we say black IN white?) what I think about life and all those matters. Maybe we are nothing but some (un)sophisticated experiment conceived by som superior mice race and we are to offer ourselves the answer to the big questions. Is there one?
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can introduce you to this city of cities, Paris. Ville Lumière, French Enlightement still brightens Parisians' hearts. The phenomenal French art scene allows surfers to have an incredible insight into human nature (?) This does sound like a Travel Guide, doesn't it? Anyway, don't count on me to show you the Eiffel Tower or the Camps Elysées...
IMPORTANT
If you want to come to my place.
I ONLY ACCEPT ONE PERSON because I do think that the solitary wanderer is less hermetic to travelling and general road-errance.
Please, I receive some half dozen of demands every week. If you do NOT BOTHER to read my PROFILE, please do book a HOSTEL.
15 million people come every year to Paris. No reason to suppose that you are not like any other of them. What are you willing to SHARE?
Interessen
No wind is a good wind for the seaman ignorant of where (s)he might well want to go... And interests -I suppose- define that port of ours, that unmistakable destination:
I used to spend nights on staring at the stars and wondering how to get out from the baby bowl but
since I discovered that it was probably best to plunge into the madness of the sky by Julio Cortazar's hands...
I used to sip very slowly a cup of black coffee on the seafront but since I discoverred that life if you put on some goggles and set off to that sea I used to contemplate, you can be dead stunned.
I used to imagine how it'd be to paint some sunset -GottDämmerung- but since I found out that if I took a random pencil, something flowed through the fingers onto the paper...
I used to freeze up that lady queuing up in the supermarket but since I discoverred that magic power of W. Allen's...
what did I do next, boy?

Musik, Filme und Bücher
Is to live your life an interest accepted under this shortly stated description? What defines a person? What defines me? Well, if you insist: I like the thunderously outrageos Woody Allen's sense of humour, I can spend whole nights lost in Bunuel's contradictory and somewhat innocent surrealism, I have watched a thousand times Sorentino's La Grande Bellezza, an obsession that I advise you to make yours.
Once, I went on a three-month Interrail with this one book: Of mice and men. I read it over and over again so many many times that I can declaim some phrases out of it, if you want. In case of abolishement of the freedom of press I may be useful to reconstitue its content (see: Fahrenheit 451). I once admired Victor Hugo. I have lately begun to feel somewhat disappointed by him. I once fell under the spell of English 19th century literature. Dickens feels a little bit heavy right now and so does Thackeray. I cannot sleep wihtout my copy of amazing Julio Cortazar's Rayuela under the pillow. It enlightens my dreams.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
Could you teach you how to stare at the stars for hours on or how to cook a Spanish omelette. I am amazingly useless for any financial matters so do not ask me how to get around your red numbers but some Spanish language lessons might solve it...
