A wanderlust with a long bucket list. I love travelling - short and long trips. I firmly believe that unless you travel in life, you will never know the beauty of this earth. There is so much to see, learn and absorb, and unless you are brave enough to step out of your comfort zone, you will never experience that exhilaration.
I have traveled mostly around Europe till now because I live here. I am travelling to New Zealand in December, Japan, Uzbekistan, Vietnam in March next year and planning to do a South American trip in December next year. I have grown up in India, so pretty much seen a rich cultural variety in my country itself.
I travel alone and sometimes with friends. I make new friends wherever I go and that's an experience I treasure.
As far as my background is concerned, I work in a multi-national company and have a post-graduate degree.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to travel and meet new people. I consider Couchsurfing as a great platform to make new friends and share experiences.
I don't have my own place yet, so am not in a position to host guests. I intend to open my doors to all travelers as soon as I get my own place, which hopefully will be soon!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Mostly instrumental music. I am a big fan of traditional music - Indian, Irish, etc. Ofcourse, I am a big fan of Bollywood music (kind of cliche as I am from India... :D )
Movies - Inception, Dark Knight series, Avengers, any thrillers really!!
Books - I am an avid reader... It will take me ages to jot down every book I like.. To put it generally, any novel of the suspense thriller genre appeals to me.. The Sherlock Holmes collection is the most treasured collection I have.

One thing I came to know about the Bran castle in Romania, was that even though the castle is the center piece for Bram Stoker's Dracula, the author himself never visited Transylvania!!!!! He wrote an entire book based on accounts from his Hungarian friend who had been to Bran, and some library archives!! Genius!!

Probably a well known fact, but 221B Baker Street in London does not actually exist. However, the Sherlock Holmes museum on Baker street in London captures the exact picture of how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle described it in his books.

Heard this joke somewhere that if you spend even 2 mins on each artifact in Louvre museum in Paris, it will take you 99 years to complete the entire museum. Probably exaggerated, but it's still quite a lot to soak in if you are visiting Louvre.
