About Me

Hello! I'm Alonso. I was born in Mexico and moved to the United States as a teenager. Where I have lived ever since.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am having quite a bit of fun exploring our post-college life. We want to meet locals, learn about people's culture and share mine. I'm a very outgoing person and love the idea of making longterm friendships from all over the world.

Interests

I love live music even though I can't play. I do love good food and I can cook good Mexican and Chinese food. And part of my trip will be dedicated to exploring my writing and cooking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 19 I decided to learn Mandarin, knowing nothing about the language and the culture. One day the opportunity came to move to China for one year, and I decided that same day I was going. A few months later, I was living in Chengdu, China.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching English.
Learning a new language.
Sharing food from my country.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook a pretty good meal. My specialty is pasta, dumplings and the occasional bulgogi. Tacos too, those are pretty good.
