About Me
| In America for the summer! |
CURRENT MISSION
Work so later I can get to know as much as I can of this world: its people, its cultures, its landscapes; obtain knowledge, and experiences through that, that hopefully one day I'll turn into "something" meaningful.
One of my biggest dreams is to start a non-profit in Mexico, potentially designed to help indigenous children get education.
To have a minimalist life.
ABOUT ME
Lover of life, all living souls, music, art, craft beer, and coffee.
I drive an extra mile if my favorite song just started playing on random.
Drummer, and aficionado photographer.
PHILOSOPHY
To always remain a student; humble, and willing to learn from everything, and every single person I encounter.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As you may have noticed, I'm just starting. I've traveled a lot in México, and hostels are really cheap here, but sometimes you just gotta go on a budget, so a friend of mine introduced me to couchsurfing, and told me how cool it is to get to know locals, and also to receive travelers, hearing their stories, showing them around, and sharing with them while they travel. I just can't wait to try it out.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Looking forward to starting this summer! And receiving people afterwards.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Magic realism, mostly from Gabriel García Márquez, so novels, but also scholarly books, mostly on religion, like Michael S. Heiser.
Favorite book: Mere Christianity, from C. S. Lewis.
Music: Man this is hard. Ok:
- Currently listening to: King gizzard and the lizard wizard, Daniel Caesar.
- I can always listen to: The Strokes, The Contortionist.
- I can't help dancing to: Sotomayor, Nicolas Jaar.
- Favorite drummer: Joey Baca.
- Which artist would you ask to produce the soundtrack of your life: Father John Misty.
Movies: Anything from Christopher Nolan seriously.
Series: Specifically Rick and Morty, Bojack Horseman, Dark, and Atlanta.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Self taught myself to play drums, and photography.
Volunteering to teach kids the basics of drums in my city for almost a year.
Volunteering at a non-profit which helps homeless people in Shreveport, Louisiana for a couple of weeks.
Backpacking many states of my beautiful and big country, like CDMX, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Puebla, Morelos, Oaxaca, Chiapas, Mérida, Quintana Roo, and I'm not planning on stopping at all.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always happy to help people practice their Spanish just by talking, but also, if they allow me, to show, and explain them their mistakes. I enjoy teaching some of the Mexican lingo, which makes people go like "is that even Spanish?"
What I would love to learn is French! So if you know it, or maybe is your mother tongue, I would love to get to practice with you!
Also, I think everyone has something to teach, so I'm just interested in having a deep, fun conversation with everyone, hear their stories, and perspectives in life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
AS A GUEST
I'm all about community, and also I like to be helpful when I'm at someone's place, so if I need to help with housing, gardening, cooking, or shopping, or whatever to keep everything flowing I'll do it with great joy.
And also my sincere friendship, and of course, making sure you know that, as we like to say in México, "mi casa es tu casa", and I'll be waiting for you to visit me now there!
AS A HOST
¡Mi casa es tu casa!
Sharing of my food, and a lot of coffee.
Showing you around the city I'll be living, which might be new to me too, so we can explore it together.
