Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Aloy – a full-time research wizard and academic enthusiast! My heart beats for art and literature, but my true love lies in the realms of film studies, anthropology, ethnography, and sociology but it's not limited to just these. When I'm not unraveling the mysteries of academia, I'm a globe-trotter on a mission to soak up cultures, savor cuisines, and collect stories from every corner of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've immersed myself in the vibrant community of Couchsurfing driven by a profound belief in the transformative power of shared experiences. By opening my home to fellow travelers, I aim to transcend geographical boundaries, fostering cultural exchange, and creating a global tapestry of connections. Couchsurfing is more than a platform; it's a gateway to understanding diverse perspectives, embracing the richness of human stories, and building bridges that transcend borders. In essence, I find purpose in contributing to a collective journey of shared humanity, one couch at a time.
Interests
My interests read like a vibrant playlist of life experiences! From capturing moments through photography to creating culinary masterpieces, diving into documentary production, and weaving stories through filmmaking – my world is a canvas of creativity. When I'm not behind the lens, I'm out exploring the world, camping under the stars, and embracing the "etcetera" that makes life wonderfully unpredictable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One extraordinary encounter etched in my memory is the sight of Actias Ningpoana, the enchanting Chinese Moon Moth. Discovered amidst the lush rainforests of the Tanhril region in Mizoram, India in 2023, its delicate, moonlit wings seemed like nature's poetry in motion. Witnessing this rare and ethereal creature fluttering in its natural habitat was a breathtaking reminder of the hidden marvels that thrive in the heart of our planet.
Teach, Learn, Share
Armed with an academic flair in films, I can teach the art of photography and storytelling techniques, essential companions for travel tales. Let's spice things up as I can guide through cooking some delectable Indian cuisines. But the learning isn't a one-way street; I'm eager to absorb your culture, unravel the stories you carry, and indulge my taste buds in your traditional cuisines too. Throughout the stay, let's share the roof and exchange not just knowledge but the vibrant mosaic of our lived experiences. 😊
What I Can Share with Hosts
Beyond my time and presence, there's a treasure trove of offerings I bring to the table. For the art and photography aficionado, I'm delighted to provide free classes or capture mesmerizing moments through my lens. Tackling basic household chores is a breeze for me, and I thrive on engaging in meaningful conversations, sharing my experiences while eagerly embracing theirs. If my host is an explorer at heart, I'm ready to embark on a culinary odyssey, introducing them to the rich tapestry of Indian masalas. And for those with a musical curiosity, I can strum the chords of basic guitar skills.
