About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see as much of the world as possible, and help people along the way.

ABOUT ME

Into lots of random stuff -- just ask me haha. I like intelligent conversation. Kind of over the club scene at this point in my life, but I enjoy throwing pints back with cool people, and can get rowdy if the situation calls for it. Love crisp mornings and mountain air. Love new cultures and every kind of food. Love to travel. Can be a bit of an organization freak. Give a ton of shits about NHL Hockey. Oh, also, I swear sometimes. Can be a grammar Nazi. I sail boats and drive Jeeps. Have a pretty brunette for a companion in this life thing. I rarely lie, but I'm an expert at speaking like a politician.

I'm sure there's more to know about me, as I'd consider myself a pretty multi-dimensional person, but it's kind of difficult to carry on a conversation with yourself in an "All About You" column.

PHILOSOPHY

If you're going to be clumsy, you have to be tough.

Love is my religion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Generally, just starting to get the feel of the whole thing first. I don't know if I want people crashing on my couch just yet, but we'll see what happens. Down for meet-ups or coffee or whatever, or if anyone wants to practice their French!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not applicable. None so far. But definitely will in the future -- and I'll need your help with it!!

Interests

I truly believe that there's not a subject on the planet that isn't interesting if you know enough about it. Right now, current obsessions are science, history, politics, off-road travel, learning French, and trying to shape my career in the path that I want.

Things I'm not currently interested in:
- the Calgary Flames (not now, not eva)
- talking about how many donuts I've eaten this week

Music, Movies, and Books

Right now, on a huge sci-fi kick. All of the classics, you know? Reading 'This Changes Everything' currently.

Also struggling through 'The Elegant Universe'....and have been for YEARS.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, I quit my job to hang out in different cafes around the world, so that's pretty cool!

But truly, I've been blessed to have lots of amazing things to choose from!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm pretty handy with a wrench and have some knowledge of building things, due to it being what I do for a living. I'm also a pretty good sailing teacher, from what I hear.

If you're into the whole knowledge sharing thing, I'd love to get over this rut I'm at in my French right now! Also, if you have connections at the UN, I'd be pretty interested in that because that's the projected career trajectory!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Beers, poor decisions, stories about that time I got drugged in Japan, and high-fives.
