PHILOSOPHY

I'm kinda curious and therefore I love to discover new people, places and things of all sorts ;) I like to... no I have to go wherever my interests and passions take me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hosting people from time to time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first CS experience at a great host in Kyoto (Jane, Shingo and Heather) and got fascinated all the diverse, random people you meet. This year, I spent a great time on couches in Vienna and Hamburg!

Interests

Animal rights activism, nutrition, psychology, drug-free lifestyle (straight edge), reading, listening to and making music, sports in general (especially baseball, kendo, lacrosse, bouldering, open canoeing and skiing), travelling, watching comedy shows, dancing (d'n'b, salsa), playing all sorts of games.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Hardcore punk, trip-hop, experimental electronica, big beats, breakbeats, drum'n'bass, minimal, dub-step, dub, chill-out, movie scores, progressive techno styles, classical, old-school and experimental hip-hop, jazz, alternative and progressive rock (see http://www.myspace.com/hoshpak).

Books:
I really enjoyed the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and the "Discworld" novels. Yeah and I read lots of books by Art Vandelay...

Movies:
None really... I like for example The Big Lebowsky and The Fountain, but I'm also into short films, TV shows (Seinfeld, LOST etc.) and I like good documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess travelling to all those countries was amazing to me amongst many other things. But what I've made it into the local newspaper with was by travelling all the way from Solothurn, Switzerland to Rotterdam, the Netherlands with a cheap inflatable boat and some buddies in a four week journey. For a blog (sorry, German again) check http://tour.galez.org
