About Me

I am an open minded person of a character spiced with a Mediterranean spirit. :-) People think I smile a lot and that I smile from heart. I can't help it, because there's a child inside of me who resists to grow up. That's probably why I look in my early twenties still. :-) Life is too short for frowning is my motto. Smile and love!

I am a spiritual person who believes all of us are connected with each other. All the living beings in the Universe are just pieces of an absolute One. For my part, I aim to be as positive as possible during my visit on this mother Earth.

I don't believe differences should seperate us. I embrace all of the races, religions, sexual orientations, and opinions as long as we respect each other. I am against all kinds of violance towards human beings and animals.

I lived in Prague. I love being among people of different cultures. I am very interested in learning languages. I tried to learn Czech, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, and Arabic. I learnt all of them to a degree but I forgot most of them for the lack of practise. I speak English fluently.

I travelled to several countries for limited time as I worked for private companies. Couchsurfing around the world was my dream since 2009. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do it because of full time jobs. I want to make my dreams come true now. I start it with South America. I am planning to be there for about 5 months between November 2017 and March 2018.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I always dreamt of couchsurfing around the world. I am thrilled with the idea of being right in the culture. Staying with locals is the best way of doing it. I can also host people visiting Bodrum. It's the number one holiday resort in Turkish riviera.

I worked for 15 years for several private companies since I graduated from the university. I was addicted to the feeling of security by making money and building a career. I sold my most precious thing in return: my time! I postponed my dream of "couchsurfing the world" among with many other dreams while I was working.

I recently lost my job. I have been paid unemployment incentive for me to survive till I find another job. Instead of looking for a job, I closed my house (where I lived alone) by canceling the rental contract and moved in with my mother who lived alone with my sister. I didn't want to continue to work for the merciless private sector companies right away. Instead, I prefered to buy that long-dreamt return flight to South America with my unemployment payment. :-) (I made that trip! It was not like I expected! I learned a lot of lessons, some of which are kinda bitter. I can tell you the rest of the huge story face to face; and how that trip led me to leave Istanbul and move to the beach town of Bodrum.)

Interests

I like mountain hiking in winters. I find my balance when I am out in the wild. I like those solo retreats in the nature. Me, nature and stars. A total silence. I need that when I feel lost in the lifestyle of a metropole like Istanbul.

I like cooking. I like to learn cooking new things from different cultures! And I like trying different cousins all around the world.

I am interested in learning salsa. I want to improve my Spanish in South America as much as possible. The language is fantastic. :-)

I like science-fiction stuff. I also like the philosophic deep talks about life, politics, and questioning our existence in this beautiful planet. I like mystical and spiritual stuff too, mostly because I am a dreamer. :-) I'm very curious about Amazon shamans and healers for example. I believe strongly in positive science. But at the same time, I believe the real world is more than the science has discovered yet. And there is more, much more than things visible to eye.

I like animals a lot. I like to feed street animals. We have a lot of cats and dogs living in streets of Bodrum. They need our care and I try to do my best.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to different kinds of music. I'm open minded about music genres. My favorite movies are sci-fi and fantasy. I love Tolkien's LOTR, either books and the movies!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did several things. Living abroad for 2 years was an amazing experience. But the most amazing one will be backpacking South America for 5 monthst! :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach cooking my local cousine. I can teach English and Turkish.

I can learn Spanish and Portuguese. I can learn Salsa and latin cousine.

I can host you in Bodrum and share my home with a warm family welcome. I live alone. My cat has recently passed away. :-(

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share love and experiences. :-) I can cook. I can share the house work. Tidy things up. I respect you, as well as your home. So I'll behave I promise. :-)
