About Me

I am currently 27 years old and have been playing basketball since elementary school. In the past, I played for some renowned teams such as Fenerbahçe and Turk Telekom. However, I have now graduated from Bilkent University's Faculty of Law and am currently working as a lawyer in Istanbul. Apart from my work, I enjoy travelling and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that this platform is one of the best options for genuine travelers. One of the main reasons for this is that it provides ample opportunities to get to know countries and their people on a deeper level. Through this platform, travelers can connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have different perspectives about the world. Such an opportunity might not be available without this platform. I am eager to be a part of these meaningful experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

As a huge fan of Radiohead, I made a trip to Poland specifically to experience their live performance at OPENER fest. I also enjoy listening to trance and old-school electronic music, such as Faithless and old Tiesto. Since my childhood, I have been reading and researching about the myths of Middle-earth, which is why I find reading J.R.R. Tolkien's works to be enjoyable. Additionally, I love watching movies related to Middle-earth, such as The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I saved the life of a woman once. I was walking around the Vistula River (Krakow). At that moment I saw some sort of fight. After that, I realized one man was trying to beat up women. I ran there and I protected the woman from her boyfriend. We argued with the man and after that, we went to the police station with the woman.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am capable of teaching my mother tongue, Turkish, to anyone who wishes to learn it. In addition, I can provide valuable support to basketball enthusiasts, as I possess extensive knowledge of the sport. Furthermore, I have a deep understanding of my country's history and culture. I am a quick learner and can acquire new skills and knowledge with ease. I am open to learning about other languages, hobbies, and skills from other people. Lastly, I can share my life experiences and cherished memories with those who are interested.
