About Me

Impersonal requests are great, it only takes 5 seconds to reject them 😉

https://support.couchsurfing.org/hc/en-us/articles/200640010-How-do-I-write-a-good-couch-request

CURRENT MISSION

Balancing my PhD work and traveling :)

ABOUT ME

Oh, if I could easily describe myself in such a small space I'd be kind of boring, wouldn't I? We can figure that out through messaging or in person when one of us is hosted by the other.

PHILOSOPHY

Try hard and play fair ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, this is a tricky one... I've surfed and hosted mostly friends and friends of friends because I had the chance to meet people from all over the world studying abroad. With couchsurfing.org/.com I am trying now, so let's see how it goes!

Interests

Quite a few different things... Dancing (above all, forró!), traveling, understanding how things work, boats......

  • dancing
  • capoeira
  • traveling
  • socializing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love a Brazilian music style called forró (pé de serra), and also samba. I really enjoy music with good melody in general, so I'll listen to classical, jazz, Chicago blues, classic rock, salsa...

Movies change a lot, quite a few interesting ones.

Books are too many, so here's what's currently on my bag: The Devil in the White City, Histórias Curtas (by Brazilian author Rubem Fonseca).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After being kicked out of the premises because I was asking for tickets, which was kind of scary, I managed to get into the Olympic Park in London 2012 for free thanks to the generosity of some Argentinians, which was pretty amazing =D

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll gladly teach how to dance Brazilian styles. Or we can play capoeira. Or I can try and jam with my harmonica. Or, if you're into this kind of thing, I can discuss the determinants of international capital flows and differential growth across countries...

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, Monaco, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Russian Federation, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, France, United States
