About Me

Heyy I'm Altay(You can read my name like reading ǎlʹtīʹ)!! I'm a university student from Turkey . My biggest pleasure in life is meeting with people, I feel more and more energetic when I meet new people. I have easy-going, talkative and social personality, I can talk with aaanyone in this world.
Also wanna mention this: I love street foods of different cultures🤤

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing looks like the best way to meeting new people and getting familiar with new cultures. Therefore, I am on couchsurfing. Instead of hanging out with similiar faces, speaking with people who I just met is better. Because of I grew up in Bodrum, where is a seaside touristic place in Turkey, I am used to meeting with people who comes from abroad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1- Eramus+ projects... They're always amazing❤️
2- I think it is not very amazing but I had a bit dangerous story a year ago, I was hitchhiking somewhere in İzmir, Turkey with my friend during 9pm. Someone took us and brought somewhere on the mountain road, because he was a delivering water and he was late so he had to come back his job. Whatever then we started to walk on the road to some village approximately 2 km’s away. The problem started when we heard the sound of dogs from the mountain and saw dead wild pig with huge teeth. After that we shared a facebook post for help at a student cooperation group, and someone made a comment just like this: “if you heard a dog sound from the mountain, it means they are hungry, too bad :(“ and when we look his profile she was volunteer for rescuing people so she wasn’t kidding :D as a result we started to tremble with fear but thanks god we arrived the village successfully. Here is the story of most dangerous and scariest night of my life🤓
3- In the summer of 2023, I worked as a döner master at a Turkish restaurant in New York. There was no other Turk other than me where I worked, so this is also the story of how I learned Spanish.
