About Me
Margaux and I live in the Center of Bordeaux on a little street. We speak French, English, and a bit of Spanish. We love food (Margaux is a vegetarian and I limit meat as much as possible), we can't live without wine and cheese (yes, we're French), and we like "off the radar" stuff, things you don't find in any guide. And also we both travelled a lot. We have a lot to share and to offer.
We take couchsurfing very seriously and often take our guests out to our favorite places, bars or restaurants around Bordeaux. We offer laundry, clean sheets, shower... Yet here are a few rules if you want to stay with us :
1. Our appartment is not a hotel and we are not concierges: politeness, respect for our personnal belongings and privacy as well as discretion are appreciated.
2. Please refrain from asking if you're just looking for a free room for one night just to catch a train or a plane the next day. Only ask if you want to explore Bordeaux and spend some time with locals.
3. Margaux is working from home during weekdays, so we would ask you to leave our appartment in the morning around 9am and come back around 6pm if you stay during weekdays.
4. Last but not least, you'd be hosted by Anna, our cat. She owns the place and allows us to invite people from time to time (she's sort of a Siberian cat, a breed which is almost hypoallergenic).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a great way to discover new cultures and hear amazing travel stories. I mostly use CS as a host because I want tourists to fall in love with the city I live in, I try to make everything I can to make their stay a memorable experience !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was born in New York, I grew up in Singapore and Tokyo, I was a teenager near Versailles, and a student in Lyon, I volunteered in Cambodia, worked as a waiter in Tokyo and Paris, and as a wine merchant in Bordeaux, lived in a farm for 6 months in Burgundy then moved to Poitiers to work in a winery before moving back to Bordeaux to live with my girlfriend (who I met in Paris).
Teach, Learn, Share
Margaux spent 4 years travelling the world hitchhiking, so she has pretty great stories as you can imagine. I myself travelled a bit too, when I was young and broke, so we both have lots of unbelievable things to share around a glass of wine and some cheese!
By the way, we might talk about food and wine 110 % of the time, and show you Bordeaux through the eyes of the foodies that we are, please don't blame us.
