Thea Newman! Im an 19 year old girl from Humboldt county I was born and have lived my whole life in Arcata California, a small northern Cali beach town. My parents have an organic farm along the Avenue of the Giants (the Redwoods!) in southern Humboldt. Lots and lots of melons, peaches, apples, pears... I am so blessed to come from such a beautiful natural place and I am even more blessed to come from a loving home with two hippie parents one sister and one brother.

I am a good travel partner because I am enthusiastic and fun! I always try to be happy always have a smile on my face and be ready to laugh! I love to talk and to adventure. Especially to natural places (beach, river, lake swimming is my absolute favorite!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was doing a lot of research and I have heard from others about couchsufing. I think that its going to be a great way to travel inexpensively and meet new people! Ive been inspired to travel for a long time. I Want to Make new friends, meet new people, have new experiences, make good memories, try new things, adventure to places I've only dreamed about, expand my mind by seeing how huge and amazing our world is, decide what I want to do with my life, learn languages, be able to empathize and connect with more people, and to just say I did it! and most important to have FUN!!!!

Visiting tons of botanicle gardens! Picking fruit on my parents farm sandwiched between the Eel river and the redwoods. Cracking cacao in Hawaii, drinking the nectar and eating chocolate! Trying wierd fruits! Rollinia, jabuticaba, miracle berry, jackfruit, mangosteen...

Learn: Surf (I've tried it and it was so fun!), more guitar (I mostly just play to accompany singing), I want to go out dancing, life advice (I'm young ill take all the advice I can get!)

Teach: Vegan Cooking, I can tell you about some great books, I like kids so if you have some we can hang out (I have a brother and sister). I'm pretty good at basketball and volleyball to!
