Hello there,

My name is Aluizio and I’m a portuguese type and graphic designer living in Barcelona for about four year now, slowly chasing one of my biggest dreams that is open my own design studio..
In the begging of this year I quit my job with the goal being to travel as much as I can with some savings.
Currently I’m traveling around the United States with no much of a plan apart from probably getting to the south of South America.
In general i'm a very sociable and outgoing person, used to deal with all kind of people due to my professional background.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now, the reason is simple.. Traveling on a budget.. Crossing the Atlantic is expensive so there it goes a portion of a budget when the plan is to keep traveling for more than a city/country for months and having no specific date to basically stop traveling. As much as I can save in hostels/hotels, the more I’ll be able to travel.

Interests

My main interests are arts, in general with a special passion for graphic arts and typewriting. For the last eight years that's what i've been learning, working and discovering in so many ways.
Traveling is obviously another big passion.
I love to met different people and share my culture and my personal tastes, like cooking for example.. along with that, skateboard is another of my biggest passions, and one of the reasons I chose Barcelona to live.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love, love, love reggae and rock.. but since i worked with radio in the past i developed a good sense of adaptation with different music styles.. i don't think i have any style that i don't like, it's only the artist sometimes that annoy me.
About books, i like the kind of books that make me think a lot, and also autobiographies, but honestly i'm not reading too much this last couple years.
Movies, well, a lot of different kinds of movies.. It depends on my mood.. just too melodramatic films, are those the ones i don't like so much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Maybe, along with the fact that i graduated with 22 years old, the decision that i took of moving to barcelona alone, with a really tiny budget, and no job or friends there, and start building a "new life" following only the things that i'm really passionate about, and now having a stable life, not with much money but happier than ever.
