About Me

Hello, wonderful Couchsurfing community!

Have you ever dreamed of exploring the world without breaking the bank on accommodations? That’s exactly what I’m hoping to do! I’m currently based in Athens, Ohio, and I’m excited to start traveling across the U.S. — and eventually the world — while meeting amazing people along the way.

I love sharing meals and stories, and cooking is one of my favorite ways to connect with others. I’d be more than happy to prepare some of my favorite recipes for you! I’m also passionate about learning new cultures, dancing (especially to upbeat music), making new friends, and having engaging conversations — I’m definitely a chatty one!

In my free time, you’ll often find me riding my e-bike, walking around town, snapping photos, or diving into local history. I'm always curious and open to learning something new from every person and place I encounter.

I’m really looking forward to connecting with open-minded, kind-hearted people here on Couchsurfing. Whether you’re hosting, traveling, or just up for a good chat — let’s connect!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that travel is about so much more than just seeing new places — it's about connecting with people, sharing experiences, and learning from each other. For me, Couchsurfing offers a unique way to do all of that while making travel more accessible and meaningful.

Beyond just finding a place to sleep, I hope to build genuine friendships. I love cooking and would be happy to share some of my favorite recipes — food is such a great way to bond! I’m also very social and curious by nature. I enjoy chatting, learning about other cultures, exploring historical sites, biking (especially e-bikes!), and dancing whenever I get the chance.

I think we all have something to teach and something to learn, and I love being part of a community that values openness, kindness, and cultural exchange. Couchsurfing feels like the perfect place to meet like-minded people who are passionate about travel and human connection.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is pretty eclectic — I’m a proud ’90s kid, so I have a soft spot for classic pop and punk rock. I also love diving into fiction books, and when it comes to movies, I’m a big fan of the Harry Potter and Hunger Games series. White Chicks is one of my all-time favorites, and I can never say no to a good comedy — anything that makes me laugh is totally my vibe!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve had was sandboarding down Cerro Negro, an active volcano near León, Nicaragua. Just getting there is an adventure — you hike up the black, ashy slopes of the volcano with a board in hand, surrounded by stunning views of the Nicaraguan countryside and other volcanic peaks. The hike is short but intense, especially with the heat and the crunch of volcanic rocks beneath your feet.

Once you reach the top, it’s a mix of adrenaline and awe. You suit up in your gear, take a deep breath, and launch yourself down the steep slope of loose volcanic gravel. It's fast, thrilling, and completely unlike anything else — a mix between snowboarding and sledding, but on hot, black sand instead of snow. By the time you reach the bottom, you’re probably covered in volcanic dust, laughing, and already thinking about doing it again.

It's one of those travel moments that makes you feel totally alive and connected to nature in a wild and unexpected way. Definitely something I’d recommend to anyone visiting Nicaragua!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love the idea of exchanging knowledge and experiences — it's one of the best parts of traveling and meeting new people!

Teach: I’d be happy to teach you some of my favorite recipes (especially if you’re into Latin American flavors!). I can also share a few dance moves, help with conversational Spanish, or tell you all about sandboarding down a volcano in Nicaragua. If you're into photography or biking, we’ll have lots to talk about too!

Learn: I'm always curious and open to learning new things — whether it’s a local tradition, a new dish, a few words in another language, or simply a new way of seeing the world. I love listening to people’s stories and learning about their cultures, backgrounds, and everyday life.

Share: I’d love to share great conversations, good food, laughs, and travel stories. Whether it’s walking around town, cooking a meal together, or just chatting over coffee, I’m always excited to create meaningful and memorable connections.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I always aim to be respectful, clean, and considerate of your space — and I love showing appreciation through small gestures of kindness and connection.

I’d be more than happy to cook a meal or two and share some of my favorite homemade recipes (especially dishes from Latin America). I can also share stories from my travels, teach you a bit of Spanish, or even show you some fun dance moves if you're up for it!

If you enjoy deep conversations, laughs, or even just some relaxing company, I’d love to spend time together — or give you space, depending on your vibe. I’m always happy to help out around the house if you need an extra hand, and I try to bring a positive, easygoing energy wherever I go.

Most of all, I hope to share good memories, cultural exchange, and a genuine appreciation for your hospitality.
