My name is Álvaro, I'm 22 years old. I'm from Madrid, Spain but I'm living in Paris from August 2023 until JSpring2025. I'm studying a Masters degree and at the same time I'm working as a consultant. I have 3 younger siblings, one in Madrid and the other 2 in New York. I'm planning to go back to Spain when I finish my studies and find a job in Barcelona because is a city that I love very much and is also full of friends and people that I know. My hobbies are going out with my friends to techno clubs, collecting old vinyls, going to do photography at cool secret spots at big cities and I also like to do some sports like skiing, surfing and snowboarding. I do not drink alcohol.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm trying to explore and travel around Northern Europe while I'm living in Paris this year (Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom). I think is a great way to do it and also a nice experience and would love to try it out. In exchange I can cook amazing dishes, tell unique and funny stories and also l love listening to people and really dig and think about what they just told me and give my honest opinion about it. Also love debating and connecting with people from all around the world, everyone has a story to tell! You just have to listen!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love techno and Lo-Fi music, but I also listen from time to time some pop and rock & roll music too. My favorite books are "Sarah's Key" and "The Never Ending Story". I love cinema, can't stop talking about it, my favorite movies are usually classics like "Cinema Paradiso" and "Platoon" but I also enjoy recent movies like "Dunkirk" or "Tenet".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled from Northern Portugal to Southern Portugal with a van exploring a lot of small villages, surfing and connecting with amazing and fantastic people. Great experience that I recommend it to everyone. Actually planning to do something similar but in Italy for autumn of 2024! Let's see how it goes!
