About Me
Hola! Hello! Bonjour!
Traveling really opens your mind and changes the way you see the world. I've never liked the "about me" sections of profiles. This is really the first impression you'll have of me, I hope I don't mess it all up.
Originally, I was born in Honduras, a small Central American country. However, I'm in France thanks to a language assistantship program.
I grew up in a big city (as big as it can be in a country with 8 million habitants); where I discovered the best instrument ever to be invented: the violin. Music forms part of my life since 2007, which marked the way I express myself and of course, the way I listen to music.
My undergraduate studies are "on-hold" at the moment. I'm a law undergrad (it works differently in Honduras). This field of study really teaches us how to fight against injustice and vindicate the rights of others. I have an intense passion for human rights and anything that has to do with their defense. My dream is to create an NGO with my fellows, that defends those who have been victims of the injustices of the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My first experience with couchsurfing literally changed my life. It led me to meeting the most amazing people in my small village.
This is something I would love to live again. It is unbelievable how interesting people are, especially when they're from different origins. This app has taught me that physical boarders are not an insuperable obstacle to bond, if anything, it strengthens it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music
Classics are my favorites: Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Fitzgerald, Eagles, The Beatles. However, I'm terrible at music titles and lyrics, so if you're planning to do a karaoke night, I'll probably just hum-along.
However, I'm open to any kind of music that has some sort of attractive quality.
Movies
My favorite movie is called "About Time", if you haven't seen it yet, take some time to watch it; it'll change your life. Please recommend movies.
You have go to watch Coco. This movie not only describes a beautiful Mexican tradition but shows the deeply rooted "family tradition" in latinoamerican societies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to the Pyrynées-Orientales for a week. I lost my phone during a hike on the first day (yes I was sad, mostly for the pictures I had in it). We climbed the mountain on the second day, trying to retrace our path in order to find the phone. Obviously, the object being small, we didn't find it.
On Friday (our fifth day at the mountain), I stayed alone in our chalet and decided to go for a walk. By the art of magic or the destiny, I recognized some fields we'd walked thru; so I decided to give it a try and went walking on them again.
This is the funny part. My logic told me that if the phone had landed screen-up, then the sunlight would reflect on the screen and I'd be able to find it. This day I learned that mushrooms reflect sunlight as well.
I'll tell you the rest of my story during one of my conversations :)
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I can teach you the basics on spanish and english. Also, I would love sharing with you the beauty of my country (Honduras) and our very diverse culture.
Learn: I want to learn anything that can be taught. We have to say "yes" to everything in life (as long as it's not a crime xD)
Share: My travel experiences and my energetic spirit!
