My name is Álvaro, I’m 27 and I am from Valencia, Spain, where I live in a little village called Bicorp. I like to travel, meet new people and play the saxophone in my band. I consider myself an adventurer, friendly and I’m always looking for new experiences.

I started traveling alone in 2018 and it changed my thinking of traveling. It was one of the best experiences of my life because of the freedom to explore and meet new and interesting people.

As I said, I love to meet new people, discover new cultures and taste traditional food. Nowadays I am traveling around Spain because of the Covid but, in 2022, my plans are going to Australia. 🦘

I started traveling in 2017 and since that, I’ve been able to travel to eight countries and a lot of parts of my country, Spain. I hope to enlarge this list during the year 2022. I’m going to start my studies in Australia in March, so my idea is to visit some countries before and after my stay in Australia. My idea is to visit Sri Lanka, Maldives, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Bali and New Zealand. (That depends on the pandemic and my budget!).

I’m interested in hiking, taste new food, exploring nature, playing and listening to music, playing video games and discovering new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to find travel companions, meet local people and travelers who are in the same country where I'm visiting and to ask for advice to travelers who went to countries that I want to go. ✈️

Nowadays I don’t live alone so I can’t host travelers in my village.

🎬 Movies: I love Marvel and Disney movies and sagas such as The Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. I think Spider-Man into the Spider Verse is the movie that I have seen the most times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

➡ I did a volunteer program in a conservatory of music in Kathmandu teaching saxophone that was an incredible experience.
➡ I have flown over the Himalayas. (and it was suuuuuper awesome!)
➡ I did a road trip around the Black Forest.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share knowledge about Spanish culture (especially the culture of Valencia).
I'm musician and I play saxophone, so I can teach you about reading and playing music. 🎷
I can teach about design programms (Like Photoshop or Illustrator).
Apart from that, I can help with whatever you need!

What I Can Share with Hosts

The main thing that I can offer is my company and desire to share the trip with travelers like me. I am open to doing any activity together.

I can help with whatever is needed. (If I'm able to do it!). I'm a bad cook but we can try to make Spanish recipes together. 🥘

I like meeting people so having a drink and knowing the history of my hosts is the best for me!
