About Me

I am a Singaporean based in Perth, doing my PhD on football in cerebral palsy. I do a fair share of traveling, having just returned from a month on the Canadian and American west coast. I am also a tutor in Edith Cowan University and a fitness instructor with HBF. When I am not jet-setting about I am making little camping trips around ozland.

I have been living in different houseshare conditions and have been hosted by many amazing people around the world. I now live in a granny flat in somebody's backyard and in love with my cozy and simple little apartment and looking forward to sharing it with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my travels I have been hosted by some amazing locals and I hoping to pay it forward. I understand what it feels like to be broke and alone in a foreign city, where the money saved from hostels or airbnb can be put towards a good feed (and a sneaky beer).

Interests

I am a musician of sorts and a player of many sports. I am also into books and movies and the great outdoors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having just completed a tour of Canada I arrived in LA with usd200 and 7 days to ration it. Obviously plans for Vegas and the Grand Canyon were thrown out the window. Nevertheless I made it to San Francisco, got drunk 3 days in a row without paying for a single drink and got offered a free night at a hostel. Some lady I met at a diner even tried to give me money (I must've come off pretty miserable)! 7 days later I had $30 left in my wallet and heaps of stories to tell. I guess tramping is much more exciting when you are penniless.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Travel stories, jokes and bar tricks (collected and perfected over years), and perhaps some music sessions if I have my travel guitar on me.
