ABOUT ME

I love music, arts and literature. Keen on learning languages, I touched upon German, Portuguese & French this few years. It is not hard to discover that learning language inevitably entails the learning of another culture (through words and linguistic habits) and mindset (via "logic" and syntax) of another people.

I am very concerned for environment issues. Practicing lacto-ovo-vegetarianism at the moment, I hate people wasting food.

I am not really talkative and need time to formulate before articulating my ideas. I like to think and ponder and thus sometimes seemingly undecided.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I learnt about couchsurfing from a friend of mine who traveled in Europe. Then one day when browsing the CS webpage in the common room of the dormitory a stranger nicely offered me the first piece of reference. Thanks David!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Year 2008 is the peak year for my CS activities as I embarked on solo-packaging a few times, trips ranging from a few days to more than a month. I have been hosted in DC, the US when cherry blossoms flourished, and in the summer four more nice ladies served me their cozy houses, apartments...
I tried my first time to CS with friends when travelling to the South America in 2010. Nice people all around!
I would definitely be a host if my family is open and hospital enough to accept strangers. Unluckily they are not that kind of people.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

- Encountered a tornado in Atlanta during a trip in the spring break. Well I didn't really meet it in its face but it was less than 1 mile away from me that night.
- solo-backpacking for 36 days on the land of America
- visited a friend merely acquainted of on the Amtrak and stayed in his wooden house without electricity nor water for one night
- finished 3 term papers of more than 60 pages in total within 15 days... (haha I'm not sure should I keep it in this box now..)
- climbed a tree of 25 meters tall in the heart of Amazon!
- saw the most amazing waterfall--Iguazu!!! experienced its might with a boat

I am learning to be tough. Running a full marathon is one of the goals in my life. During the year of exchange, I learned to be more independent and took care of myself.
