Über mich
CURRENT MISSION
To make a new life in Melbourne
ABOUT ME
I'm spontaneous and crazy. I've been known to just scoot off somewhere and not be heard from for months, it's great. I've travelled a bit and I think it has made me a better architect, not to mention a better person. I believe there is no such thing as "you must be crazy to do that" or "I wouldn't touch it if I were you."I'll roll with the cliches: I think I'm easy going, chilled and confident. But I'm also a bit of a softy at heart... I've once spent a week camping in a forest with a French poet, we drank rum, shared our views on life and really connected. That's the kind of connection I'm looking for in people I meet, sans rum (or copious amount of). I think I am fun to be around, I wear my heart on my sleeve, have a wicked sense of humour and can laugh at myself, on the flip side, I can discuss film, design and current events with easeMy profile is a bit weird, I've left bits from 2009 as a "time capsule", my grandad died when I was travelling and couch surfing and I miss him dearly. My current mission: I've just moved to Melbourne, it's all new and sparkly and exciting and I want to meet everyone! I want more fffrrriiieeeennndddsss
PHILOSOPHY
I want to make the most of my time and talent, so I'm always reading, learning new things and starting projects (and not necessarily finishing them). I am out there to treat people with all the kindness I can muster, and I don't care what I get in return. Work hard, play hard, travel the world and give everything a go.
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
After I've settled a bit I'm planning to show people the interesting architecture on offer in Melbourne. I have an ambition to start a little walking tour. Time capsule bit: After my travels I will be settling down in Hong Kong and making a couch available. Looking forward to showing people from around the world my favourite city and birthplace!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met a Londoner named Mark in KL and he said he would be happy for me to stay at his place for a while if I ever travel to London. I've only really spoken to him a couple of times so I wasn't quite sure how serious he was but when I showed up in London he waited at the bus stop for me for THREE hours (there was a tube strike, I wasn't to know a trip to Victoria station will end up taking that long) and I ended up staying with him for 2 weeks and this wasn't even through CS!

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
Travel related: running away from herds of bulls, driving to places I've read about when I was in architecture school, staying in a forest with a french poet was a life changer too.Non travel related: actually finishing my degree was a pretty big deal, 6 years of my best years, phew.
Lehren, lernen, teilen
I can teach you Chinese, I can also probably teach you a bit of chinese cooking too. I can point out pieces of architecture in your city that you probably don't know about. I have a mac so I can show you cool mac-ky type stuff.
