About Me

I am a 20 years-old student from Turkey who is on her erasmus in Germany. Travelling is my biggest dream and i am living it while i am young, i feel lucky and happy. (Ironically, I am a happy person with resting bitchy face syndrome, it's like a curse, just focus on my words not my big evil eyes.) I am good at languages, I can speak fluent sarcasm. (My friends claim that it is just because I am pessimistic.)

Let's just meet and talk. (I love talking, but don't worry I have a "turn off" mode.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because i believe that it is far more better to meet up with new people in a foreign country than to stay in a hostel or on the streets only with the friends you have already known. I love getting know new people and learn about their cultures from themselves.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to Literature and Cinema it is impossible to choose a favorite for a book-worm and art addict as me. For literature i can say that
Melville's "Bartleby the Scrivener",
Camus' "The Stranger",
Proust's "In Search of Lost Time",
Dostoyevsky's "The Idiot",
Orwell's "1984",
Atılgan's "The Loiterer",
Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye",
London's "Martin Eden",
Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray"
and Zola's "Germinal" are the ones that the most influenced me.

Allen Ginsberg and Turgut Uyar are the poets that i can read everyday with the same excitement.

And the movies like
"Arizona Dream" dir. Emir Kusturica,
"Ivan's Childhood" dir. Tarkovsky,
"A River Runs Through It" dir. Robert Redford,
"Brazil" dir. Terry Gilliam,
"Ulysses' Gaze" dir. Angelopoulos,
"Spalovac mrtvol" dir. Juraj Herz,
"The Last Temptation of Christ" dir. Scorsese,
"Blow-up" dir. Michelangelo Antonioni and "Interview with the Vampire" dir. Neil Jordan are the essential pieces of my movie collection.

And music is just ... i have a very big changing palette of genres. But usually i like to listen old rock hits. Nostalgia is in my soul.

And i just want to add my favorite painters, a favorite list without including them would be worthless for me. With admiration and respect;
Vincent Van Gogh.
Edvard Munch.
Rembrandt.
Hieronymous Bosch.
Pieter Bruegel.
Brunelleschi.
Salvador Dali.
Boticelli.
Kasimir Malevich.
Cézanne.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing thing i've done was surviving 😂 I travelled through Scandinavia in January while the weather was below zero for ten days without taking any advantage of hostage. No baths, no beds, no tents, just me & my backpack & good friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach how to apply a lipstick without looking at the mirror 😂 I'd like to learn about languages and cultures, -or any life hack you want to share like how to sleep 8 hours in 4 hours 😬-, also i'm enthusiastic about sharing my half Caucasian half Turkish mixed culture with people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, i can clean, i'd love to brush your pet and petting him/her, of course if he/she lets me. (Don't like to say 'it'.)

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Denmark, Georgia, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Turkey
