About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Head home and change life in Perth

ABOUT ME

I've just had the most amazing two years of my life living, working, backpacking, studying and enjoying myself in Africa, South America, Canada and France.

The hospitality of couchsurfers and other open minded travelers have give me some of the most incredible experiences of my life.

Along the way I have made acquaintences, best friends, boy friends and stalkers...I've learnt french from scratch to a moderate level, had 6 different jobs, studied at two universities and lived in 5 cities more-or-less permanantly and visited tens of others.

In short, I have had a freaking amazing time.

I just arrived home a few weeks ago...to get qualified as a lawyer and save for my next project or adventure. This summer I am doing 4 weeks of uni and will be qualified by February! On top of this I am working at bars in the CBD and Mount lawley. So I am busy, but I love it!!!

So the hospitality of others has enriched my life, and when you come to Perth, if I am in a position to return the favour...all will be most welcome in whatever way I can show you Perth. As long as you are appreciative, open minded and useful we will have no problems getting along!

At the moment I am living between two houses in Maylands and Mount Pleasant, I cant host at either unfortunately. But I am more than keen to meet couch surfers for drinks, picnics, come hiking with me and my friends or if you can get a hold of a kayak...I will take you out on the river or ocean with me.

The best thing you can do in Perth, is quit focusing on how small our city is and enjoy the good beaches, outdoors fun, and positive personalities that live here because of our amazing weather! I love this city and the people in it can be pretty lovely if you give them a chance!

PHILOSOPHY

Everyday is a choice, make it a good one.

Happiness is not having what you want, it's wanting what you have.

Let us change what we can and accept what we cant.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In perth I hosted, I have surfed a few couches but generally use couch surfing more from a social point of view for a catch up and to attend events. It's been the most valuable part of all my travels, made every experience better and changed the way I see countries and cultures.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met quite a few back in Aus and now am traveling, have met some incredibly cool and hospitable people along the way, without a doubt.

Interests

Running, kayaking, hiking, running and pretty much anything outdoors in the sunshine! (and running)

I like things that scare the shit out of me, not in a horror movie kind of way but an exhilarating sort of adrenaline rush.

I like to see strange things. For example the wall of chewing gum in Seattle, it's disgusting but it's just so intriguing. You want to touch it, but you don't want to, but you do anyway.

Food and Wine. Given the choice I will just take the wine but I'm always partial to something tasty. I like to cook but I wouldn't say I'm great at it.

Travelling, that's a given on this network though.

Learning, about anything really.

Understanding why people think the way they do.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm getting a little too old to think that what I listen to, read or watch defines me. It probably does, I just stopped caring. My tastes change when someone introduces me to something new. I like a lot of stuff but you can always introduce me to more !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Plenty! My favourite memory at the moment was my second day in Cape Town, getting on my first crowded minibus alone, full of about 12 blokes on their way to work ... calmly playing mariah carey, boyz 2 men and the backstreet boys on repeat. I've had plenty more experiences like that in cyep toun. more great moments, white water rafting in Zambia, hiking machu picchu, salt flats in bolivia, descending Lions head after drinking a bottle of 19 rand pinotage and teaching myself to surf at Muizenburg.
