About Me
CURRENT MISSION
experiencing quality life every day...usually including good food, music worth dancing to, and a bit of the mountains...
ABOUT ME
My husband, Brandon, and I live in Wyoming with our one-year-old son. We met in college in South-West Michigan and worked in Kalamazoo, MI until the economy hit the fan. We stored up most of our belongings and drove West pulling our renovated 1963 travel trailor. We stopped in Sheridan, WY to have a cocktail with a few friends and ended up staying - we both found full-time jobs, and accidentally bought a house and had a baby.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently we host friends and basic wanderers. We love communal living and enjoy cooking with friends - Brandon is an excellent host in the mountains, so we host people who are looking for a break from their normal lives or a break along the way. The porch of the house does most of the restful hosting, very conducive to morning coffee drinking and book reading. It is a peaceful place to rest and think.
Interests
Brandon is into light-weight backpacking, bouldering, attaching homemade extentions onto our X-tra Cycle, and working out as many things to haul on his bike as possible. He also mountain bikes and pops around town on a single speed. Brandon is an architect, and currently works in town as a carpenter.
Alycia sings almost every weekend with a jazz quartet or as a guest artist for a variety of big bands around the country. She also sings and plays the fiddle with a blue grass/country group. Big cities fill up her energy but she thrives in the mountains; both are necessary parts of her life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Top favorite experience: Sleeping in the Sinai Desert...watching the falling stars drip from the sky as we fell asleep.
Teach, Learn, Share
We have the ability to share insight on the following: basic and extensive bike repair (including restoration of bikes found at the local landfill), cooking skills, cocktail drinking and porch lounging (only in said combination), music making and home renovation.
