About Me

I recently left a career as a Geography teacher to study Film Production. I love to get out and travel as much as I can in my free time, increasingly so by Motorbike. Love music, play bass guitar and have been in a few bands over the years, just joined two new ones. Really love photography and love meeting new people and trying new things. It's a huge old world out there and we all have a limited time. Got to make the most of it while we can :)

I dream of a world with no borders and no xenophobia. I'm convinced deep down that those two things are the root cause of most of the world's problems.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled around Europe by motorbike summer 2015. A friend of mine recommended couchsurfing as a way to make my trip more interesting and personal. I loved it, best holiday ever and met so many amazing people through couchsurfing. I'm hooked, can't wait for my next couchsurfing adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't get as much chance to read as I'd like, I'm in the middle of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance at the moment and loving it. Have Jupiter's travels lined up next (I'm such a cliché)

I'm a huge lover of film so picking favourites is hard, but two that always spring to mind are "Himalaya" and "Children of Men". Two very different films that I love for very different reasons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Quit my job and bought a one way flight to Nepal. Ended up staying for two years. Life changing experience for sure. Loads of stories to share but this isn't the space for them. Much better in person over a pint of ale.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach Geography for a living but I'm more than happy to share or pass on any skills I have. And I'm more than willing to learn anything new if others think I would like it.

I love music, especially playing and writing with other people. I play bass and muddle by on guitar and drums, but there's something really amazing about the collaboration between two (or more) people. Always up for playing/writing music with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm no chef but I'm more than happy to cook something up.

I play guitar and bass, guitar and dabble with drums, so if you're a musician I'm always up for a jam. Otherwise, love to chat, have a drink and share travel stories.
