Overview
About Me
I'm socially awkward in real life, so if I seem withdrawn the first time we meet, it's not you; it's my anxiety. I like the simple things in life, and I love cracking jokes. I'm trying to cuss less, and I'm proud to say that I become more successful with each year gone (except when I'm singing, then it's figuratively no holds barred).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The apartment I'm leasing came with a guest bedroom. I was sure that it wouldn't be in use most of the time, so I thought, "Why not try and help out someone who needs temp crash space?"
On the other hand, I also might need to look for a place to stay for a few days in case I decide to do some quick travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got into a stranger's car while I was teaching in China. Lost, confused, and only half-able to understand what the man was saying, I agreed to take his car an hour's trip over to my friend's city. We almost ran over an old lady, the guy was breaking so many speed limits.
I've also eaten stir-fried cricket.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always open for language exchange and for guidance around Taiwan. I'm also pretty good at explaining idioms and colloquialisms, and it's fun digging into the history of some phrases or slang words.

You can have some of the stuff I make if you let me borrow your kitchen. I can also clean up or animate any PowerPoint presentations, strengthen professional speeches, and/or help in the revision of any rough drafts.
