About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Spread joy where I can, leave the world a bit better than I found it and see as much of the world as possible.

ABOUT ME

28, mental healthcare worker, travel addict and animal lover.

PHILOSOPHY

"Men at some time are masters of their fates.
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.
Brutus and Caesar—what should be in that “Caesar”?
Why should that name be sounded more than yours?"
-William Shakespeare

"While there is a lower class I am in it. While there is a criminal element I am of it. While there is a soul in prison I am not free."
-Kurt Vonnegut

I live my life in search of truth and a greater understanding of my fellow humans, in the hopes that we as a species will always be pushing toward equality.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to give visitors a tour of my city when home and meet new friends while on the road. Would love to become more involved in CS meetups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still a newbie on this platform; I've only been a guest once but it was a great experience. Extensive experiences with sharing homes around the world with friends that I've met on my travels, through Airbnb and friends from home.

Interests

Music/attending gigs, learning new languages, travel, ingesting as many books as possible at one time, anti-establishment, trying new foods and cooking styles, football(Euro!), record/book/thrift store and estate sale hunting, photography, animal husbandry, tiny homes and tiny living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hands down the most amazing thing I've done so far was making the choice to sell my car and travel to Europe/UK on my own. That was about five years ago now and the trip was life changing for me in many ways, and is the driving force behind me joining the Couch Surfing community. I will always be grateful beyond words to my friends who hosted me during my travels and I'd love the chance to do the same for people interested in seeing my hometown.

Teach, Learn, Share

This section is AWESOME! I'm pretty involved in our local music scene so if you want to get a feel for all the venues and styles of music my city has to offer I'd love to show you around!

What I'd like to learn:
Italian is at the top of my list of languages right now. Currently teaching myself. I plan on purchasing property with my husband in the next two years to build our tiny home, so any lessons in building/self sustainability are of great interest to us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A helping hand on an off the grid/homestead! I love animals and have helped out on farms I've stayed at in the past. I worked over a decade in childcare and early childhood development so anything in that realm. Sharing travel stories and tips, as I've amassed quite a lot in the past six years.

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
