Overview
About Me
I am from Cleveland, Ohio, looking to travel in the hopes of expanding my knowledge of different cultures and having the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the world and the incredible diversity that it offers. I am a third-year student at a small college called Ohio Wesleyan University, hoping to triple major in Spanish, Politics and Government, and Latin American Studies. I am new to couchsurfing, but I hear great things about it, so here I am!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that many people nowadays underestimate the importance of cross-cultural exchange as well as the idea of being a global citizen. Latin America is of particular interest to me--I love learning about different cultures and histories of Latin American countries and their peoples. It is one thing for me to learn about the region in my class, and it is another to be able to experience these aspects firsthand. I love to travel and I love to meet new people, especially those with different perspectives and backgrounds as me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Coldplay is my absolute favorite band! I also love listening to music in other languages, even if I cannot understand them. Aside from Coldplay, Latin music is my favorite genre.
I enjoy all genres of film, and I have recently been introduced to Bollywood, which is absolutely fantastic.
My favorite book is Jane Eyre. I love to read books--fiction or nonfiction--that touch upon important topics and issues applicable to the real world. Political/historical fiction is probably my favorite genre to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I haven't have the chance to do anything absolutely extraordinary, but I have traveled to the Isle of Skye in Scotland. It was the most beautiful landscape I have ever set eyes on, I definitely recommend Scotland, especially the islands, for its untouched beauty that one cannot understand unless he/she witnesses it firsthand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn about the local and national culture, history, and political systems of the places that I visit. A classroom setting is far from sufficient for me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am only 20, and so I haven't have much life or travel experience yet. However, if you are interested in the life of a small-town American, I have lots to say about that! I consider myself to be very friendly and open to conversation, and so I can offer a genuine character and meaningful conversations.
