I'm a bit of an Ontario mutt, having lived across the province from Windsor to Ottawa. I've also been lucky enough to live in Austria and Germany during my studies. I take any opportunity I can to explore somewhere new and love to meet new people along the way.

I pursued Cultural Studies and Globalization at university and now work with international students. I'm always trying to learn from the people I meet and share in their stories and their homes.

When I'm at home, I try to explore my own neighboughood by eating at local restaurants, checking out the markets and cafes, going to the community events, etc. I'm big into shopping local and try to buy sustainable and ethical products.

Give me a good conversation with good people over a good drink, and I'm happy.

Traveling is more fun when it's local. I'm on couchsurfing to meet new people and learn about their cities the way they see them. I also don't think cost should be a barrier to travel and really appreciate the open, community mentality here.

I am a collector of books - new or used, classic or modern... I love it all. Currently reading "Multicultural Cities" by Qadeer and just finished "A Man Called Ove" by Backman.

As for movies and tv, anything with Will Ferrell is hilarious, and I can't wait for the next season of Shameless to come out.

My music tastes are about as eclectic as it gets. If I had to pick a top genre though, it would have to be Motown.
