About Me
----H O W D Y----
I moved to Detroit 3 years ago and made my way to the cozy southwest neighborhood of Hubbard Farms/Clark Park. A little campy as it's still "old detroit" out here (my landlord is certainly MacGyver in the flesh), and my bathroom light switch is in my shower, but I can't compete with the view of Clark Park for what I pay. My apartment is part of a 1913 4-flat, my neighbors are wonderful and this place--though constantly in a state of "renovation" is too big not to share.
A few plus-sides of my neighborhood:
Authentic family-owned taquerias
Bus stop at the corner (a new Southwest-direct route has been newly added!)
A 5-minute walk to the MoGo bike sharing station
Very residential, so you won't get mixed up with the downtown traffic/entertainment
Best laundromat in town is a 5 minute walk
Bring a hammock! I live on a beautiful mile-long park. There are tennis courts, a roller hockey rink, etc.. so if you need some peace and TLC, it's right across the street.
A few pros of my place:
There's always coffee.
Lots of music. I take suggestions too
Please play my guitar and my flute because I don't.
I have a tent and a backyard if you want to rough it for some reason
Figure out my BBQ!
If you do visit, I'll try to spend the time I'm not working with you. I love this city and the people it's connected me to and it would be my pleasure to introduce you to them. Don't keep me out past midnight though. 💪
