About Me

Mid-twenties occasional artist and consistent performance poet.
BA in Experiential/Outdoor Education, minor in Social Psychology.
Substitute Teaching by day, casual inspired chef-ing by night.
On the side... I’m a soccer player, gym-class dancer, Weekly Poetry Open-Mic Co-Host, People-of-Color Writing Group Facilitator, Elementary School and Community Art Teacher, Unitarian Universalist RE Teacher, and your friendly neighborhood dinner-party thrower.
I really like being alive.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Motown Classics from Martha Vandella to Smoky Robinson, Electric Pop from ODESZA to Flume, RnB from Aliyah to Kehlani, Rap from Chance to Token, and calm stuff from Trevor Hall to Amy Winehouse.
Documentaries on food, music, and sustainability. Disney, Miyazaki, Marvel, Psychological Horror, Coming-of-age, Romcoms, and book-to-movies.
Non-fiction psychology and self-help, fantasy like Harry Potter and everything in between.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m very interested in and can exchange some learning on cooking, painting, sketching, budgeting, time social organization, and some wellness stuff like herbs and good-for-you self-care product knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to buy a meal for us at your favorite spot, bring groceries and make breakfast or dinner (breakfast burritos, egg scrambles, good-for-ya smoothies, pan-seared fish/shrimp and veggies, fried rice, homemade pizza), or just spend some time sharing about our different worlds over some tea. Anything around $30/day is pretty manageable for me!
