Hi! My name is Alyssa and I just graduated from Cal State East Bay with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Therapeutic Studies. I recently quit my job as a Behavioral Therapist working with autistic children. It was an incredibly rewarding job and I plan to continue on that path when my travel adventures are over.

I was born and raised in a suburb of San Diego. It was a great place to grow up with snow, beach, and mountains all so close together. I rode horses as a young girl and played soccer until college. I enjoy yoga and other relaxing activities but don't mind trying anything new like jiu jitsu or cross fit.

I've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for the last 6 years and have enjoyed the people and places available here. I'm happy taking it easy in the less busy East Bay or go out for a night in the bustling city.

I am a foodie at heart. A passion of mine is trying new dishes or combinations offered.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing to try new things! A pattern in my life, I like to do things that i've never been able to do before. I'd love to meet new people and experience their cultures and cuisine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled to Costa Rica with my mom and sister for two weeks. The places I was able to see and the local culture I was able to experience was amazing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've taken classes on the Spanish language for years and would love to be able to teach you words and to be able to practice myself.
