About Me

I'd prefer to have personal conversations about my general and more detailed explanations of my characteristics against virtually generalizing myself but here goes. Hehe. Im extremely open minded and can discuss about almost anything. I'm politically active, but not an abnoxious rebel without a cause. I can talk about anything someone wants to talk about with me. I have a few years in college down, I work a few jobs, I love going to punk, rock, metal, indie, any live music shows. I can either be shy but depending on how I vibe with someone, I can be wild in fun ways, humorous and adventurous or lazy, haha.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to build up my legitimacy through references because I'm beginning to travel a lot and would prefer to meet new people and give great company than travel alone and spend too much money on hotels. If the person hosting doesn't just mind people simple sleeping at their place, that's okay too, I can do my own thing, as well. This will either be fun experiences with new characters or at least saving money from hotels/motels, so, it's a win win anyway.

Music, Movies, and Books

From Stereolab, Josh John, Paul Baribeau, Broadcast, Red Hot Chili Peppers, System of a Down, Meshuggah, PsyOpus, Mac DeMarco, Voivod, Animals As Leaders, Grimes, Toro y Moi, to so many of my communities local bands. It's an endless list. All Punk. All Metal. All Indie. All Jazz. All pure Orchestra. Electronic. Tejano. Dad Rock (haha, like the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC) to "Emo", Brand New, the Used, Taking Back Sunday, Chiodos, etc.
From maonstream, to underrated to local bands to my own music. Music is life.
Film isn't just based on genre for me (for some.part at least) it's the composure. The setting, plot, and how perfect the story is linked to the concepts along with these elements. How the message or the telling is delivered. The dialog, or creepiness, the passion or the lonliness, how it's shown on its platter. Not into superficial films. Films that are popular due to the actor or the focus being too simple. There's nothing that makes you feel or think different or deeply, afterwards. Kill Bill for example, isn't a hot girl fighting really cool. It's an ex assassin, trying to change her life, gets killed, survives and the WAY she gets her revenge, the list, the stories of the people, the travels, the irony of doing what she gave up for who she gave it up for. The ending. The emotion. The triumph. I Saw the Devil, spoiler alert.. how he captured the murderer of his wife right away and it makes you wonder why and how. But then you see why and you see how and it's justice served with brutal revenge with the same karma returned for him being stubborn with avenging his lover.
Sangre Santa (or Santa Sangre?) Seems like a creepy, weird, unorganized and nonsensical film, but it truly is one of the deepest and most beautifully tragic films ever to be produced
I LOVE LOVE LOVE documentaries and graphic novels. Watchmen: the Motion Comic are one of the best series out there. I love reading anything and everything except for bias, unreliable and illogical articles.
I prefer sci-fi, autobiographies, historical documents with legitimate resources, and any fictional novels. Not entirely sure since there's no telling which book I'll pick up next.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are amazing things we do and see everyday. Lifting your arm, every single signal your brain sends out to every muscle and bones in a matter of seconds or less is already amazing. Watching your dog almost pass away but technology and kind vets save his life the exact day it could have been too late. Life is amazing. Everything. You can be amazing, too.
In more detail, snowboarding the Rocky Mountains was amazing!!!! Haha

What I Can Share with Hosts

If I ever do host, I can offer a queen bed (it's the one after twin?) Or at least double that size, I think... breakfast, lunch and dinner. I say if I ever do because it'll probably be rare anyone would need to travel and stop in my hometown Mercedes. However, I do have plenty of friends willing to offer their homes in either Brownsville or McAllen, Tx, (where I will serve the same hospitality) hence, why I placed my location to state I live in McAllen (which I sorta do, too, anyway) blankets will be provided, hot water, and just great smiles and a tour around the valley, if that's what one would like. There are always things going on around here that I can take you myself or show you the way to! Skateparks, parks, the island, wildlife refugees, the bay area, downtown clubs, Irish pubs, etc. If it's just for a place to crash at, no problemo there, either. I didn't do this through couchsurfing (the app) but I have hosted plenty of out of town bands that needed a place to crash. I fed them, gave them so many blankets, i did everything I could and they'd always leave with a smile and hug.
