ABOUT ME

I want to spend my time seeing the beautiful places and meeting the beautiful people of the world. Honesty and patience are the two most important practices in life. While I don't necessarily know what I want to be in 10 years, I feel like I'm doing a pretty awesome job of being exactly who I want to be right now!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met so many people in my "unofficial" couch-surfing travels who have opened their homes to me, on the spot, after meeting me for maybe 5 minutes, maybe a few days... I'm happy to finally have my own home to be able to do that for others!

Interests

I love art! Particularly communities or groups of people creating art together - this could be music, visual, theatrical... anything where people are pushing their imaginations and creative limits. I want to be active every day, I love to dance, hula hoop, cook, hike/backpack, sail, windsurf, kayak, canoe, stand-up paddleboard, surf, learn new circus toys, stretch, toss around a disc, swim, ride my bike, jump from big scary rocks… haha, the list could go on. If I’ve never tried it, I’ll probably try it. If it’s active and outdoors, I’ll probably like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crewing on a sailboat from San Francisco, California, USA to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Nayarit, Mexico (about 20 km north of Puerto Vallarta on the central Pacific coast...) - this month and a half long trip down the coast was incredible - sun on the ocean and no land in sight, fog so thick at night I couldn't see my hands in front of me, 10 foot waves and high winds, anchoring in little bays with no one around, dolphins swimming off our bow at night leaving trails of glittering bioluminescence in the water... magic!
