Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find the concept really cool, it allows people to meet locals and as a full time student with the bank account to match, I love the idea of being able to go places without having to worry about finding a cheap crappy hotel because awesome people let you sleep at their place.

Interests

I like to walk and laugh and have fun, meet new people and make friends! I'm up for basically anything, I just want to have the time of my life and enjoy the journey.
As much as I love having company to wander the streets, take pictures, and talk over a nice meal, I can enjoy doing all these things alone (yes even the talking). You will find me strolling around, sipping chai and window shopping, petting every dog I meet, going to every flea market there is, and attentding concerts.

RANDOM:
I'm a mythology nerd. I love everything vintage. You can easily bribe me with ice cream or carrot cake. I would wear a cape all the time if it was socially acceptable. I can't sleep in the same room as someone who snores. Once I saw a dog wearing socks and it's still the best day of my life to this day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge fan an any kind of artistic expression. I read, write, watch movies and binge watch TV shows like it's an olympic sport, I draw, paint, sew, cook, and listen to music.
My music taste ranges from metal to new age, and everything in between (almost). Drives me crazy when people ask me what kind of music I listen to. Do I HAVE to choose one? I listen to music. Good music. Behold the non-exhaustive list of genres I listen to: New Age, Symphonic metal, pagan neofolk, russian lullabies, and movie soundtracks.

Movies: whatever Tim Burton makes (yes I'm basic like that), everything French film maker Michel Ocelot made, the gems from Baz Luhrmann, historical movies, fantasy (HP, LotR, PotC...), and don't tell anyone but I secretly enjoy romantic comedies. I'll spare you the nearly infinite list of TV shows I watch and simply give you my top: Penny Dreadful, Clique( BBC), Salem, Outlander, Sense8, Skam, Vikings.

Books: Historical (The Tudors era, The Borgias, Ancient Rome, Ancient Egypt, Witch Trials 1692, Viking era), fantasy (I shamefully admit that I was into all this vampire mania that followed Twilight, but I swear I'm distancing myself from bit-lit), romance (but the good shit only - not 50 Shades of Horrendous BDSM).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I completed a 1000 pieces entirely black and grey landscape puzzle and I think I'll never do better than that.
