About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Why do we need a mission?

ABOUT ME

I've found out that the most interesting descriptions are just a handful of bullshit about oneselves. So here I go:

- I make a lot of breaks while I'm doing something. I tell myself that I do this because pauses are important to keep the focus, but deep inside I know that I just do this because I love coffee and cigarettes and I have troubles focusing on one thing only;
- I try to find a meaning for my life inside lyrics, movies and every kind of art. I must admit that until now I've just discovered that there is a lot of ways to see life;
- I love to tell people about some useless stuff that I've just read. And this was the only stupid thing that I had in my old description of myself;
- After some years without using CS, I finally revisited my profile. Turns out I`ve found some grammar mistakes. I guess you never stop learning any language whatsoever.
- In a third review of may profile I have found some more errors. I'm starting to think that I'm only dumb.

Yeah, I think that's enough. I can tell you more when I meet you.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe a lot in Karma. But I prefer to see it from Earl Hickey's way: Do good things, and good things happen. And that's me, just trying to be a better person

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was hosted and I've hosted a lot of people. This has been amazing so far. And I can't wait to have more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It has been amazing. Probably one of the best things I've ever done!!! It is really incredible that there are so many people willing to accept total strangers and have fun with them.

Interests

I'm interested in almost everything. I love history (knowing why things are the way they are), economics and politics (As I'm a student of economics, this is kind of obvious), cultures, movies, books, music, series (who doesn't?)

I also love to hear other people's stories, the places they had visited, or maybe about some friends, or about crazy nights... Oh, the list is so big!

Music, Movies, and Books

It's difficult for me to talk about my personal taste. It always evolves and you must keep track of it all the time. Here it goes a pretty small list of them:

Movies: The Godfather, Star Wars, Little Miss Sunshine, Pulp Fiction, The Dark knight, Ben-Hur, 12 Angry Men, American Beauty, Juno... (what a crazy list...)

Music: Rock 'n' Roll, in its literal meaning: If you can rock and roll, it's Rock 'n' Roll!! Classic, indie, punk, garage. And why not to put into this list some blues or jazz?
And unfortunately I do not know Brazilian music as much as I would like, but little by little I'm getting to know it and maybe I can even give you some tips if you wanna know the that Brazil has to offers (spoiler: it has a lot)

Books: Definitely Catch-22. Best book ever! But down there you may find some other authors/books:
Tolkien (as a good nerd, this could not be off the list), Bukowski (as a good drunk, this could not be off the list), Dubliners (as a good ex-Dubliner, this could not be off the list), On the Road (probably every couchsurfer likes this one), Machado de Assis (as a good Brazilian, this could not be off the list), Erico Verissimo (as a good Gaucho, this could not be off the list)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I flew to Paris from Dublin I've seen the most beautiful thing in my life. The plane had just flown through the clouds and I could see the Sun shinning over the clouds in a astonishing red shade. That was breathtaking...

Teach, Learn, Share

Some time ago I taught my flatmate the difference between the real and venonous Coral snake and the fake and non-venonous one. Very useful. You never know when you will face one of them...

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good time, a good laugh. I guess you don't need more than that

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
