I'm American, living in Nepal for many years. I enjoy having visitors come and stay. I've met some amazing people from places most Americans couldn't find on a globe. Very lovely people from there, for sure.
I'm particularly interested in hosting people from difficult places, regardless as to political ideals. I'm pretty far left for an American and that doesn't mean much in other countries because I'd still be moderate from a world prospective.
So, if you want to get the most out of Nepal I have a nice home at the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, From the front view it looks like we are in the city, but from the back view it's quite nice and rural. There is a monastery on the hill behind and some hiking trails you might enjoy.
