Overview
About Me
Hello fellow travelers! I'm Amalia, an only child passionate adventurer and travel enthusiast. I’ve been exploring the world since 2009 and it’s been an incredible journey of connecting with locals, discovering new cultures and making lifelong memories.
Originally from Cartagena, Colombia, I’ve hosted travelers in my hometown and had the pleasure of being hosted around the world. Whether I’m wandering the streets of a new city, learning about its history, or soaking up local traditions, I’m always eager to explore and share these experiences. I’m friendly, open-minded, and love to connect with people who have a similar sense of curiosity and a love for cultural exchange. Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and hosts who can make my adventures even more special!
PHILOSOPHY
I truly believe that everything happens for a reason. Treat others the way you wish to be treated, with kindness and respect. Life’s challenges remind us to appreciate the good when it arrives, and sometimes things fall apart to make room for something better. Remember, the truth often emerges when emotions run high, so never forget what’s said in moments of frustration.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is all about connection, trust and cultural exchange and that’s why I’ve been a member for years! It’s not just about finding a place to stay, but about creating meaningful experiences with people around the world. I love hearing your stories, sharing mine and discovering hidden gems in cities that I wouldn’t have found on my own. Whether I’m exploring solo or with friends, I find Couchsurfing to be a fantastic way to meet like-minded people, share laughs and create lasting bonds. Plus, the free hospitality feels like a gift that I love passing on when I host.
