About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an Astronomy student from Helsinki. I'm planning to have a year off, studying languages and other intrests and traveling. Next year I'll hopefully start studying Medicine somewhere in Europe.

I'm constantly looking for new experiences and new friends. I feel like I've stayed put for too many years and I want to start living my life to the fullest.

As a Finnish person, I hate these kind of "tell about yourself" things, but I consider myself an outgoing, fun loving, enthusiastic person. I do need my alone time, which I normally fill with either reading, listening to music or writing.

I want to know and see everything in the world! I hope I'll find people here to share these experiences with me :)

PHILOSOPHY

"But who can say what's best? That's why you need to grab whatever chance you have of happiness where you find it, and not to worry about other people too much. My experience tells me that we got no more that two or three such chances in a life time, and if we let them go, we regret it for the rest of our lives."
-Haruki Murakami, 'Norweigian Wood'

Music, Movies, and Books

Ah where do I begin? I love books by Haruki Murakami, he's amaizing. I'm also obsessed with Salinger. My favourite movies are for example Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (or pretty much anything from Wes Anderson), Amélie, Lost in Translation, Spirited Away (and all the rest of Miyazaki's wonderful animations).. and so on. I could go on for ever. I listen mostly to indie or singer&songwriter stuff, like Sufjan Stevens, Bon Iver, Of Monsters and Men, Regina Spektor.. I also love classical music, especially piano music, since I'm a pianist.
