About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Only Connect." --E.M. Forster

ABOUT ME

I am a real Californian in a million ways, but at the same time I love to travel and absorb influences from other cultures. That's kind of what makes California California, after all. In particular, when I travel, I think it's great to be able to meet and get to know locals, see a town or countryside how the locals see it. I look forward, someday, to having more time and money for traveling.

PHILOSOPHY

Can this really be summed up in a little box? I try to be a good person and enjoy the free time I have, and I hope to be of some use to the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

A Confederate General in Big Sur (Richard Brautigan), Red (Krystof Kieslovski), The Shins, Air, Radiohead, My Morning Jacket, and much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and China are the most exotic places I've been, but I love all travel. My special favorites have been Thailand and Sweden, I just like the people I've met there and the natural beauty.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to mushroom hunt, to hike, to practice speaking French, Swedish, Spanish, Thai, and to cook. I haven't had the opportunities to do much of these in recent years due to vet school and then working. I'm an avid learner of most things, so anything anyone would like to teach is likely to be appreciated.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, French Polynesia, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Laos, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom
