I've (incidentally) travel with some friends in couchsurfing to Dieng Festival in 2012. And we've been friends ever since. Really enjoy to hang out and hear new stories and perspective - all of this thanks to couchsurfing.

Lived with Komodo for a month, been to the siberian tiger habitat, ordered an eel with hand signs in Korea, stayed in a 100 year old hut in the Blackforest, spent a bit of my childhood in Perth.
