Hi everyone. My name is Amanda, I am 25 years old, and seriously getting the wanderlust itch. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing much of the world yet, but I'm working on making that change.

I'm a fairly laid-back person, with a sense of adventure and a love for music. I can get along with basically anyone as long as they're not insulting (duh). And I'm always welcoming of new friends and experiences.

I'm fairly new to the couch surfing community, but I have hosted one person before and it was a great experience to meet someone I never would have met otherwise. Plus a few of my friends have talked about their wonderful experiences.

I am leaving on a three month road trip through the US starting July 22- end of October. The only downside to having such a long trip, is my schedule isn't entirely planned out, so I have no clue when exactly I'll be in each city until about a week before. So I apologize for asking for any last minute host requests. I'm looking forward to meeting some amazing people along my travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to explore and travel around to see some amazing places, and meet some incredible people. I am in the middle of a cross country road trip for myself, but much is still in the air. I will be traveling by myself, and I firmly believe that the experiences you have are largely a part of who you spend them with. I haven't participated in Couchsurfing much yet, but from what I see it looks like a wonderful group of people looking to meet interesting individuals from around the world.

My ideal hosts would be people who want the experience of gaining a new friend. I'd love to have your company to explore your city and learn from your experiences.

Interests

I love music. Get me into a bar with live music and good beer and I'm a happy girl. I also really enjoy exploring any new area, whether it's going on a hike, finding a tour of a historical place, or wondering around the streets in downtown, I'm always having fun. Any activities that are popular or fun around, I would love to participate in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm really into everything unless the music is literally screaming at me. I'll go reggae to EDM to county, and enjoy almost everything in between.

Movies: Any movie that keeps me captivated. Warning though, I really like having subtitles on any show or movie I watch :)

Books: I really enjoy reading, and can often times find myself wrapped up in a book so I cant put it down until I finish it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So far I've taken a chance and quit my job, moved out of my place, and am travelling around the country to explore and figure out where I'd like to end up.
