When I travel, I want to do more than trek around to tourist sites - I want to meet local people and really get a feel for the location and how people really live there.

Movies: I love documentaries and romantic comedies - no horror movies for me!
Books: I read a lot of non-fiction books; when it comes to fiction, I prefer books that have a strong sense of place, where the location is as important to the story as the characters.
