About Me

I grew up in San Diego and moved to China to teach right after graduation. I've been living here in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia and I love almost everything about it here: food, culture, people (expect the cold and wind).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m looking for some people to meet while traveling and at times even a place to stay . I also have friends who have had good experiences couch surfing so I thought I’d give it a go too!

Music, Movies, and Books

I honestly haven't kept up with a lot of pop culture in a while other than what I hear from friends or see online at times.

For movies, I'm honestly watched most films that are popular or even considered classics to some people . I kind of like a bit of everything from goofy comedies to dramas and thrillers. I'd also love to watch more foreign films when I get the chance. But I tend to stay away from most recent big blockbusters or superhero movies unless they got good reviews (to give it a chance)

I basically listened to a lot of rock (indie, classic, alternative ..) growing up and then some K-pop in recent years. Living in China, I've also listened to some music from here too.

Books: I haven't really read a good book recently that wasn't related to study or work. I really love historical fiction though and stories with multiple viewpoints.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I honestly can’t think of anything amazing I’ve done but I can think of stuff I’m pretty proud of doing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can talk about our life experiences and interests. I always find it interesting to meet new people and learn new things. If I were a better cook, I really wish I could share some of the dishes from home.
