About Me

I just moved away from my home town of Las Vegas. I am taking a short break here in Orange Beach to spend some time with my family (and make a little mula!) before I embark on a wanderlust journey through part of the US, Ice Land, and Europe. Don't have any plans, just going to go where the wind tells me to. While I am here in the OBA I can't take surfers, but I can meet up if you need someone to show you around! Once I get on the road I will be looking for places to crash and things to do! I love meeting new people and sharing meaningful conversation, fun and adventurous activities, and I kinda like booze ;).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

1. I wanna meet new people and experience the culture of wherever I am staying.
2. I wanna get to as many places as possible, meet as many people as possible, and experience new ways of life and thought.
3. Its just more of an adventure this way!

Interests

Outdoors: hiking, camping, kayaking, fishing...willing to try just about anything ;) I usually do one extreme thing every time I go on a big trip. So far I've done zip line courses, paragliding, skydiving, canyoneering, and rapids kayaking. I'm down to try other things too.
I'm really into food and mixology. Love learning about the history of alcohol and how it's made. Stops at breweries, wineries, and distilleries are a must!
I studied religion and politics, so I love anything to do with culture/religion any and all of them. Plus I love art, museums, and music. Anything from classical, to rock, to dj I love to go to live shows.
I love sports too. Soccer(futball) , football, baseball are my faves but again I will pretty much see any sport live.
I have always done a lot of community service and out reach, so if you know of any great places that need volunteers I always think that is an awesome way to more deeply understand the culture and reality of the countries I visit. I want to know and respect the people and culture so I always love that opportunity as well!

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list. I am a dabbler in sci-fi and fantasy, I love social studies and religion books, classic literature, and occasionally I branch into political books. I've started to be more interested in comic books in the 5 years or so. Movies are on the same line. I don't always like action thriller movies that don't at least have some psychology or something profound within them, but they can still entertain. Animated movies, epic dramas, and sci-fi fantasy I love. Of coarse I can't turn down a good chick flick or random off the wall weird movies. I love music, classical, folk, indie alt, and a lot else. Always willing to listen to something new. Bands that I have seen on my bucket list are: Sigur Ros, Muse, Passion Pit, Tom Petty, Radio Head, and Explosions in the sky. I've seen many more, but these were my faves
