About Me

Hi! Lovely to meet you. I'm originally from New York, but I'm currently in college in Colorado (US). I love meeting new folks and have a great passion for environmental and social justice! I spend a lot of my time working in affordable housing and animal rights advocacy.

I also have a great love of working with herbs and healing the body naturally!

I've done work in environmental advocacy, cooperative housing and food, landscaping, and worked with children/older folks with special medical needs.

I have a great passion for veganic farming, though I am still in the beginning stages of learning!

I look forward to connecting!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and having great conversation! I've worked really hard to save enough money to be able to travel and I love the more genuine experience of staying with folks that live in the area!

I also work in co-operative housing in Colorado and have a great passion for communal living and mutual support of folks.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all forms of music! I think there is beauty in every kind, but I mainly listen to folk, indie, classic rock, and jam bands.

I'm a sucker for sappy movies and terrible comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled most of the USA and spent time with incredible people. Less of something amazing I've done, and more of something amazing I've witnessed and worked alongside is the people of the Navajo Nation, specifically Black Mesa Water Coalition, who are fighting for food sovereignty and against the horrific coal industries polluting their lands.

I try to spend my breaks from school volunteering at animal sanctuaries. Animal sanctuaries are places that rescue animals from abusive situations, typically farmed animals from being killed. It mostly consists of cleaning up poop and feeding the beautiful cows, sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens that live happy and free there!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love conversation, vegan cooking, sharing ideas/passions/aspirations.
I know how to make most things at home (i.e. toothpaste and deodorant).
I have experience working in plant nurseries/landscaping.
I have a vast amount of knowledge of food systems, especially in the US.
I've been apart of cooperative housing for some time and have plenty I can share about this style of living.

I'd love to learn the knowledge within others, as I feel that it is a great privilege to be able to hear directly from other people about their experiences. There's always more beautiful, and many times difficult, things to learn.
