Overview
About Me
I am a bilingual writer from Washington D.C. I am pretty chill at home, but I am passionate about food and I love cooking, baking, trying new recipes and new foods. I also love travel, having new adventures and meeting new people. In the past, I was an English teacher here in Colombia and I enjoy language and cultural exchange. I also work in content marketing, digital strategy and social media. AND I love memes because I love to laugh and they can provide great insight into society and culture. I am currently working remotely as a writer, web designer, and social media manager.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on couchsurfing since I love meeting new people, want to visit places and see what it is like to live in a place from a local's perspective. I had a lot of fun being an Airbnb host in Washington D.C. and I have always wanted to try couchsurfing since I really enjoyed hosting guests but have never been in the guests' shoes

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy most genres of music, Hip-Hop, Reggaetón, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Vallenato, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Tango, R&B, Blues, etc. For movies, I enjoy comedies, dramas, romantic comedies, classic movies, foreign films, etc. I do not necessarily have one favorite movie per se. I also like murder mystery novels, detective novels, critical theory, and social theory texts, I will read almost anything if it interests me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am the Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Testimony Project, Washington D.C., an independent, bilingual, multimedia project based in Washington, D.C., and Medellín, Colombia that is committed to providing victims-survivors of gender-based and sexual violence the opportunity to tell their stories, receive support, and be heard. Teach, Learn, Share
I make amazing baked goods, especially banana bread. When I was an Airbnb host, I had a long term guest, staying with me for over two months and I perfected a great vegan banana bread recipe that was extremely popular e.g. she would bring it into her internship and it would be gone within minutes
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great food, funny stories, language exchange for English/Spanish, a great time, great food, a willingness to learn about you and friendship.
