About Me

Hi there! I was born and raised in central Florida, near Orlando. I'm laid back, easy to please, and I like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor. :)

I've lived in a few countries and visited 60+. Been doing the "digital nomad" thing for nearly a decade now, so you could say I'm something of a seasoned traveler.

Because I'm moving around so much (and using my family's home in FL as a homebase), I'm unfortunately unable to host. But one day I will be!

**I'm new to Couchsurfing, but as you can see from the 70+ positive reviews on my Airbnb profile, I try my hardest to be a respectful, considerate, and kind guest. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new here, but I've heard so many amazing stories about connections made by friends around the world. And since I'm typically traveling alone, this seems like an amazing way to learn about different places and cultures while meeting lovely people. I don't know what the meaning of life is, but for me, real, honest human connection must be part of it.

Many of my favorite travels have been when I'm able to see somewhere through the eyes of a local. It makes an incredible difference in how you experience a place. It's the difference between just passing through, snapping some pretty photos, eating some interesting food vs. really feeling the human experience from a different perspective.

Interests

Wandering around a new place on foot for hours. Adrenaline-junkie type stuff like jumping off a cliff (with attachments, of course). Being active and outside on a beautiful day. Cooking and sharing meals with wonderful humans. Spending quality time with the people I love. Learning and growing as a person. Being creative and crafty like painting, drawing, sculpting - though that gets tough when your whole life is stuffed into a suitcase!

Music, Movies, and Books

Glass Animals, Queens of the Stone Age, The Raconteurs, Queen, A Tribe Called Quest, Tinariwen, Vulfpeck, Ella Fitzgerald, The Jackson 5, Miles Davis. Just to name a few artists. Big fan of a good silly movie to relax and unwind, or pretty much anything from Dreamworks/Pixar. But generally speaking, I'm very easy to entertain and keep occupied. Almost anything goes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This prompt brings to mind all the adrenaline rushes I've had around the world... paragliding over Medellín, scuba diving off Ko Pha Ngan, rope jumping off a bridge in Kyiv, white water rafting in Baños de Agua Santa. Being in/with nature in an extreme way is so darn gratifying.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cooking is my favorite hobby. I'd love to have all the cooking experiences together. I'm a digital marketer by trade, so you're more than welcome to pick my brain if you're running a business or working on a project you're trying to promote and grow.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good meal, a good conversation, and a sense of appreciation and respect for your time and generosity. :) I'm an open book -- ask me questions (even favors) and I'm happy to engage.
