I'm a 19 yr old student who loves travelling. I've just finished my first year studying English Literature at the University of Sheffield. For most of the summer, I have (and will continue) to steward solo at festivals in the UK with Oxfam, to save a bit of money for future travels. Couchsurfing was recommended to me by a friend, and I thought I'd give it a go as it sounds like a brilliant idea to meet new people while seeing the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first time on Couchsurfing and my first time travelling solo and I would love to meet some local faces that could tell me/show me the best parts of their city. Also looking for a fun way to meet new people and see new things. At the moment, I can't offer up a place to stay as I'm in shared accommodation, but I look forward to hosting people in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music; playing or listening to it live! I spend much of my time at gigs/festivals, or planning for the next ones. Being a literature student, I love reading fiction novels, with some of my favourites being Orwell's 1984 and Nabokov's Lolita. I'm also a big movie fan and watch most things (except horror), and could probably quote all 8 movies of the Harry Potter series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did some community work in a small village in India, which included painting walls with mops!
Trekking through the Himalayas was also incredible.
