Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I'm used to hotel stays, the chance to meet interesting people and have a way more communal experience while traveling sounded way more up my alley. Can't wait to see more places and meet more fabulous people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Picking a favorite song or band would be like picking a limb I'd least like to lose, to paraphrase Neil Gaiman. But some favorites include Metric, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kimya Dawson, Amanda Palmer, and anything Emily Whitehurst creates. My favorite movie has been Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind for 11 years, and my favorite book has been Catcher in the Rye for 12. What can I say...I'm loyal!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think competing and winning a city wide poetry slam is up there in the list, because it gave me a taste of what I'd really like to do in life. And studying abroad to Ireland, Scotland, and England was definitely a dream come true.
